June 27, 2016 You will never believe this!

Fjöldskylda Minn,

Sorry my letters are short mom hahaa! I love you! I had the most amazing week ever!!! You all seem like you're having such a great time on summer break! Enjoy it! You´ll be amazed to know that waking up early really isn´t that big of a struggle anymore! Also I think I'll just have to figure out where dad is working when I come home because I have no idea what his job is anymore! :)

This week was crazy! I got transferred! Unfortunately I won't be able to go to that woman´s baptism because I live too far away!!!

I'm in ICELAND!!!

ICELAND!!!

Its crazy! Just because of some interesting circumstances two elders got sent from Denmark over here. I was on a plane for 3 hours today. I have to try and learn Icelandic. They said for probably 3 months I´ll be here and then I'll go back to Denmark for the rest of the mission! I don't know how to speak Icelandic at all and I've only been here for maybe an hour and a half now. I'll be serving in a place called Selfoss. It's supposed to be beautiful there! This feels like the start of an incredible adventure. I have had a smile on my face for about three days straight. And like a big smile!

Elder Weese and I ended really strong in Holbæk, I love that guy! Leaving the ward was a little sad. One funny thing was that when I was passing the sacrament this mom told her little girl that I was moving and she said "awww why does the one with the funny face have to move?" I guess 6 year old girls think I make funny faces! I love being a missionary!

I don't have a lot of pics yet but I´ll try and attach some! It´s going to be incredible I can't explain how excited I am :)

Love,

June 20, 2016 Miracles!!!

Kære Familie,

I love you Guys! I had a fantastic week! This Saturday is transfer calls, Who knows where I'll be writing from next Monday? hahaha what an adventure missions are! I love it!!

Let me get just straght to it, something incredible happened! A few weeks ago Sam wrote all excited that he had found an investigator for our mission. A little chinese woman that had visited Salt Lake came up and started talking to him and even with the language barrier he got her information and passed it to the Chinatown elders. That chinese woman lives in Denmark! It gets cooler. We thought the referral never got through to the elders that I thought would get it just off of the guess I made. Sam made sure it got through this last week and I got a call from those elders. They said they made contact with her and found out that she has been meeting with the sister missionaries! When Chinatown sent her info over, these two sisters got a golden referral. They went over and began teaching her the Gospel of Jesus Christ because her husband told her right before he died that she should believe in Him. They taught her the Plan of Salvation, that she'll be with her family again, and she started coming to church. She would like to be baptized in July! Sam found a lady that is getting baptized her in Denmark! Isn't that amazing?? I am still blown away! I found out last Thursday, how cool is that?

Missionary Work is so so so so cool! I can't even describe it!! I don't have a lot of time today but man I had to get that story out!

Love,

p.s. That pic was part of an early 4th of July celebration we three did haha. Elder Weese was playing the National Anthem on that electric guitar! :)

June 13, 2016 This Just In...

Kære Familie,

Thanks for your notes cole and Ike I thought for sure my little brothers had forgotten about me ;) Isaac you should try to sound like Bane from Batman when you've got that thing on your face haha. Cole do you use emojis when you text girls too? Haha just messing. Mom you gotta watch out for your toes haha.

This week had some emotional highs and lows and all that other stuff. Really some fantastic and some lame experiences but I'm not going to talk about any of those because something much more important needs to be discussed...

This man came running up to us on the street and said "Hey you guys are from some church right?" We responded "Ya!" ,"Great" he said, "I've been needing to talk to someone about this for a long time. I was reading in the bible and everybody's got it all wrong. Do you believe the Earth is round?" "yes?" we reply. "Then you don't believe in the bible!!!!!!" he shouts! "look it up first genesis it's all right there!" He then went on to explain how he believes that the earth is flat, totally flat covered by a giant dome, the firmament as the bible calls it. Basically imagine a cd, the whole in the center is the north pole and the outer ring is antarctica, with all the continents in between. That's how he sees it. Also outside of the firmament or dome, there is nothing, no space, no stars, nothing. Apparently science has also proved it or something. We tried to change the topic to something else but he said, "Come on! If we con't get past Genesis chapter 1 what else do we have to talk about anyway?" You know I guess that's fair enough haha.

So ya guys tell your friends... The earth is flat...

Love ya,
Ældste McBride

This might be the coolest picture I've seen

June 6, 2016 Hello!

Kære Familie,

We had a wonderful week here in Holbæk! On Tuesday the zone leaders came to our area on splits! I know both of them pretty well so that's always a ton of fun! I was with Elder Murphy and we blew it up! We were in the same district forever ago in Odense and it was good to see him again. We had a great day together and were blessed with a lot of opportunities to teach. Things are starting to pick up here! On Thursday we got to visit the temple! What a blessing that is, there is just such an incredible peaceful feeling in there.

I'm slightly concerned that my little brothers like to shop but I'll figure that one out once I'm home haha. Mom I do have to say the Barn seems to really spice up your life.

Have fun at Geronimo Cole! I don't think we ever went to that camp. What is Isaac up to this summer? 115 degrees sounds insane! We have been sweating like crazy and I think its maybe like 80 haha. I'm going to die back home! I think I've forgotten when eveybody's birthdays/ holidays are so will you send me just a list of the important stuff? Haha oops mission fog.

Well, I love you guys! Hope you have a great week!
